5 Quick Steps to Spring Clean your Garden, including your Patio Furniture

Spring is here, and it's time to give your garden a refresh after a long winter.

Not only will a clean and organized garden create a welcoming environment for outdoor activities, but it will also ensure your garden is healthy and ready for the upcoming growing season. In this blog post, we'll explore how to quickly and easily spring clean your garden, including your patio furniture.

Step 1
Start with a general clean-up

Begin by removing any dead leaves, branches, and debris from your garden. This is also a great time to prune back any shrubs or plants that may have overgrown during the winter months. Rake the lawn to remove any debris that may have accumulated, and make sure to dispose of all waste in an eco-friendly manner.

Step 2
Assess your soil

The quality of your soil is essential to the health of your garden. Test your soil to determine its pH level and nutrient content, and make any necessary adjustments to ensure it's healthy and nutrient-rich. Add organic matter to your soil, such as compost or manure, to enrich it and promote healthy plant growth.

Step 3
Tend to your flower beds

Now that your garden is clean and your soil is healthy, it's time to tend to your flower beds. Remove any dead plants or bulbs and replace them with new ones. Cut back any overgrown plants, and make sure to water your flower beds regularly (if required) to encourage healthy growth.

Step 4
Clean your patio furniture

Your patio furniture is an essential part of your garden, and it's important to clean and maintain it regularly. Start by removing any cushions and washing them with a mild detergent and warm water. Use a soft-bristled brush to scrub any dirt or stains from the furniture, and rinse with water. Allow your furniture to dry completely before placing the cushions back on.

Step 5
Add new accessories

Now that your garden and patio furniture are clean and organized, it's time to add some new accessories to liven up the space (be sure to check out our shop to see our new ranges for 2023, including our new Outdoor Recliner).

Consider adding some new planters, new seating or end tables, outdoor lighting, or decorative pieces to create a welcoming and inviting environment for outdoor activities.

Step 6 - Relax

Obviously the most important step - sit back and relax in your new tidy, clean backyard space!
